ZiON
ZiON follows Isaac, a young man haunted by the death of his brother, Zion—an altercation with a police officer that he believes was his fault. Over dinner, he and his mother, Serenity, navigate their grief, her struggle to keep their home intact, and his unraveling guilt. The film interweaves past and present, triggered by words and memories, unfolding both timelines simultaneously to heighten dramatic tension. Stylistically, the past is captured in stark Black and White or a Bleach Bypass look, while the present embraces a raw, naturalistic tone.
